I have two words. One of them, food, I chose because it is an easy word to make word art with because you can use many images. The other word, hockey, has a special meaning to me because it is one of my favorite things to do. Probably the biggest struggle for me in making these designs was just the brainstorming because I'm not very creative and it was hard for me to think of good ideas. I am most proud of how creative the two designs actually ended up looking. If I could start over, I would probably choose a different word than food.

Long time, no blog...
The plot of my group members and my stop-motion animation is a kid that has a lot of homework on Sunday night and doesn't want to do it. He ends up falling asleep, and then waking up to a computer, so he starts playing video games. On Monday morning he wakes up to an incomplete homework assignment.
The biggest struggle in making the animation was probably the motivation of getting up to actually do the project.
The thing in the animation that I am most proud of is that we took a simple idea and made it better and made it something bigger than it actually is.
If I could do it over again, I would maybe take more photos so it doesn't look so choppy altogether. I would keep the idea the same, though.

Film Fest Logo
This logo that I did is a logotype because the husky paw is the recognized logo for St. Anthony. This incorporates good logo design because it has retention value. When people see a husky paw, they think of St. Anthony, well at least for me. This relates to the SAVHS Film Fest because it says it in words on it, and it has the logo for St. Anthony on it.

Logos
The logo that I like most is Nike. I can always picture it in my head because it is a very popular brand that many people use. Over the years the logo hasn't really changed much. It's always been the swoop and then in bubble letters, "NIKE". Normally this complete logo is just on shirts. For the shoes there is pretty much just the swoop. On brands this logo comes in many different colors. When I see this logo it makes me think of the spokesmen for Nike because they are sponsored by it. I don't really know how this logo makes me feel.

Portraiture and Identity
1. If I could describe my series of photographs in a few words or phrases, I would describe them as funny, not serious, and not planned.
2. I chose to photograph the person that I did because he is my friend, and I thought he would be the easiest to photograph.
3. I learned about
Nick that he is pretty
photogenic while doing this project.
4. The thing that was easy about photographing Nick
was the fact that we hang out sometimes so after school I could take photos of him like at his house or something like that.

5. The biggest challenge in photographing Nick was that he sometimes wouldn't let me take photos of him, so I kind of struggled in getting enough photos on time.
6. I like the 3rd photo the best because it looks like he's modeling for the clothing brand that he's wearing, and I find that sort of funny.

A New Day, A New Quarter...
One goal I have for this quarter is to do all of the assignments and projects on time, and to most of my work in class when we have time for it. Ways that identity can be represented by art is that photographing people that show emotion can portrait who they are. Also photographing people by doing their hobbies shows identity because it's who they are.
